Addiction Conference to Be Held at Bellevue University in September
Hybrid Conference Will Bring Together State's Treatment Professionals During National Recovery Month

On Friday, Sept. 23, Bellevue University will be the site of a hybrid and virtual statewide conference for addiction counselors, educators and other addiction-focused health care professionals.
The "Excellence in Addiction Recovery…Individuals and Programs Making a Difference" conference is sponsored by Valley Hope Addiction and Treatment Recovery, Keystone Treatment Center and Bellevue University. The event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CST and will be held in the John B. Muller Administrative Services Building, 812 Bruin Blvd., Bellevue, Nebraska 68005.
While some attendees and and presenters will participate from the Bellevue University campus location, other attendees from communities across the state of Nebraska are expected to participate.
Attendees can register for the conference online, and select either in person registration or virtual registration.
The conference is being held in recognition of National Recovery Month in September.
According to Jack Nelson, one of the conference organizer and Program Manager for Bellevue University's College of Continuing and Professional Education, the Excellence in Addiction Recovery conference is an opportunity for the state's treatment specialists to come together for valuable education and interaction. In addition to presentations on some of the region's most innovative and impactful programs, there will also be a resource fair featuring 20-plus regional service providers.
“Ensuring that those who help others through the addiction and recovery journey have access to the latest information in the field is important, for them and for all those whose lives they touch,” said Nelson.
Conference attendees who are licensed professionals will receive 6.0 NAADAC Continuing Education (CE) credits.
NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals, represents the professional interests of more than 100,000 addiction counselors, educators and other addiction-focused health care professionals in the United States, Canada and abroad.
