Bellevue University Associate Professor Elevated to Senior Member of IEEE Tech Organization

Karla Carter, an Associate Professor with the College of Science and Technology was elevated to Senior Member through IEEE, the world’s largest technical professional organization. This is the highest professional grade of IEEE and only 10% of the organization’s 400,000 members achieve this level. Membership of this level is based solely on extensive experience, professional accomplishment and maturity. 

Carter holds master’s degrees in Cybersecurity and European History and teaches a variety of courses including Cybersecurity, Technology Ethics, History and the Kirkpatrick Signature Series. She holds the SANS Security Awareness Professional (SSAP), Security+, MCSD.NET, MCSD, MCAD, MCP and MCT Alumni certifications.

This is an exciting milestone and a reflection of my dedication to the technology profession and my commitment to continuous learning and professional growth," said Carter. “This recognition will allow me to further develop my skills and network with other professionals in the field.
