Bellevue University Alum to Host Book Signing Event in Lincoln on February 16

Season

On Friday, Feb. 16, Bellevue University alumni Season R. Hanner will celebrate the publication of three new books with a book signing event at the Gateway Mall at 6100 O Street in Lincoln, Nebraska.

The book release and signing event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., will be held inside the mall's Dillard's Store. The event is free and open to the public.

Hanner's second edition of “Sabi” focuses on King Tut’s widow, Ancksunamun, and her generations in Japan as the African ninja. “The Right Hand of God” is the story of a married couple stationed in the Middle East. The husband goes missing and is declared KIA, but his wife is determined to find him. “The Napkin Letters” is about a woman whose life has not turned out the way she had hoped. She decides to go to Hawaii to end her life; but things don’t always turn out the way one plans.

Copies of each of the books will be available at the book signing event, or for more information about purchasing books, you can email Season at hannerseason15@gmail.com.

Season, who is an African American, has been writing stories since she was in elementary school. “I wanted to see myself represented in the pages of the books I read.” Season is currently working on “Dusty Shade Six Guns,” the story of a black, female gunslinger in the late 1800s.”

Hanner earned her Bachelor of Science in Human and Social Services from Bellevue University in 2007. In addition to writing, Hanner is publishing her works under her own imprint, Blaisian Books.

Season and her husband have four children and three grandchildren.
