From Counseling Student to Published Author
Ella Yapo has spent her career helping people navigate challenges, healing and personal growth. Now, the Bellevue University alumna is sharing her own journey in her debut book, The Love That Led Me Home.
The book explores identity, survival, self-love and the process of returning to oneself after difficult experiences. Yapo tells the story through three distinct perspectives: Little Ella, Patient Ella and Therapist Ella. By weaving together these viewpoints, she offers readers insight into how personal experiences and professional understanding can shape the healing process.
Throughout my career, I've seen that healing isn't about becoming someone different. It's about recognizing your resilience, understanding your story and finding your way back to yourself. The Love That Led Me Home brings together lessons from my personal journey and my clinical work to help readers see that growth begins when we feel seen, heard and valued.
