Bellevue University Launches Private Practice and Telemental Health Certificate Programs
Bellevue University has launched two graduate certificate programs through its College of Arts and Sciences for Fall 2026. The Private Practice Certificate and Telemental Health Certificate prepare counseling students and professionals to build services, manage operations, and deliver care across settings. The programs address practice structure and service delivery.

Programs Address Practice Structure and Operations
Bellevue University has added the Private Practice Certificate and the Telemental Health Certificate to its counseling educational offerings. The programs prepare students and professionals to build services, manage operations, and follow standards in counseling practice.
The Private Practice Certificate covers how to start and manage a counseling practice. Students complete coursework in business planning, documentation, compliance, and client processes. The program requires three courses, a total of 9 credit hours, that guide learners through practice development and management.
“These certificates prepare counseling professionals to take responsibility for how they build, manage, and deliver services,” said Dr. Barb Daubenspeck, Program Director of Bellevue University’s CACREP-accredited Master of Science in Clinical Health Counseling degree program. “We focus on the systems behind practice, including operations, compliance, and service delivery across formats. Students learn how to move from providing care within organizations to managing services and reaching clients in multiple settings.”
Programs Address Service Delivery Across Settings
The Telemental Health Certificate covers delivery of counseling services through digital platforms. Students study legal requirements, standards, technology use, and client engagement. Coursework addresses service delivery across populations and settings. The program requires four courses a total of 12 credit hours.
Together, the certificates address how counseling professionals deliver care in different formats. The programs provide options for current students in a Clinical Mental Health Counseling program or already licensed professionals who want to expand how they structure and deliver services.
