Bellevue University Library Continues Novel Brew Series
Following the launch of the Novel Brew series earlier this year, the Freeman/Lozier Library will host its second author conversation on Nov. 19, 2026, featuring Nebraska author September Thomas. The event offers students, faculty, staff and community members an opportunity to engage directly with a published author and learn about the creative process behind developing stories, characters and fictional worlds.
Thomas will discuss Of Monsters and Madness, the second installment in the ongoing Three Kingdoms fantasy trilogy. The conversation will explore worldbuilding, storytelling, publishing and the themes that influence the author's work.
Novel Brew is a great way to bring people together through books and conversation. When readers have the chance to engage directly with authors, they gain insight that goes beyond the pages of a book. These conversations encourage curiosity, introduce new perspectives and create opportunities for learning that continue long after the event ends.
Connecting Readers, Writers and Learning
Novel Brew connects readers with authors through discussions about books, writing and publishing. Attendees may participate in person or online.
As part of the program, Bellevue University's campus coffee shop, Bruin Blend, will feature two drinks inspired by Of Monsters and Madness: the Curse of the Kraken, a hot beverage, and the Cattle Dog Grog, a cold refresher.

Thomas is an independent fantasy-romance author with more than half a dozen published novels for young adult and adult readers.
