Bellevue University Named 2019 TeamMates Corporate Champion

Award Recognizes University’s Support of Regional Mentoring Program

Bellevue University, one of the nation’s leaders in preparing students for lifelong success with career-relevant knowledge and skills, was recently honored by TeamMates Mentoring Program as the organization’s 2019 Corporate Champion. The University accepted the award at the TeamMates annual conference held July 31 in Lincoln, Nebraska.

The award recognizes Bellevue University’s support of the TeamMates program over the past year and the University’s efforts in helping TeamMates achieve its mission of impacting the world by inspiring youth to reach their full potential through mentoring.

More than 20 Bellevue University staff and faculty currently serve as TeamMates school-based mentors. Other Bellevue University staff have contributed to TeamMates by developing mentor and mentee videos and assisting with monthly livestream programs for mentors.

Bellevue University also sponsors a TeamMates DREAM scholarship that is available to award to up to four TeamMates mentees each academic year. One TeamMates mentee who recently received the scholarship will begin classes at the University this fall.
