Bellevue University Presents "Women of Business" Luncheon on Wednesday, Nov. 16

Bellevue University will present “Women of Business” a luncheon event designed to support and develop aspiring female business people and entrepreneurs on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., in the John B. Muller Administrative Services Building, 812 Bruin Blvd., Bellevue, NE 68005.

The “Women of Business” event features a panel of seven female entrepreneurs and business owners from the Omaha metropolitan area: Monica Rodriguez, State Farm Agent; Diva Mejias, DM Financial Services; Emily Redinbaugh, The Simple Man; Guadalupe Millán, All United Building Maintenance; Iris Lobo, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices; Dulce Sherman, Nebraska Early Childhood Collaborative and Sherman Executive Consulting; and Cindy Schmader, ServiceMaster.

According to Gina Ponce, Bellevue University’s Director of Latino Community Outreach, the panel discussion and luncheon are an opportunity for attendees to be inspired and to learn how, specifically, the panelists started and have sustained their business ventures. “Bellevue University is excited to help share the unique insights that these successful female business leaders have with those who may be considering launching their own businesses. Their experiences are valuable and inspiring. We believe that sharing them strengthens the metro community.”

Ponce added that the “Women of Business” event is part of a series of female-focused leadership events that Bellevue University will present. “Each quarter, we are looking forward to highlighting the achievements of the women leaders in our community who are excelling in diverse areas that range from business to education to non-profit services and more,” she said. A future luncheon will focus on Women of Education” on Jan. 18, 2023.

The “Women of Business" event is open to the public and the cost is $15. Lunch is included in the registration. Attendees can register online at https://www.bellevue.edu/event-forms/women-of-business/
