Bellevue University Professor Dr. Rick Galusha to be Inducted into Nebraska Music Hall of Fame

Rick

Bellevue University's political science professor, Dr. Rick Galusha, is set to be inducted into the Nebraska Music Hall of Fame alongside the Class of 2024. This honor follows his induction into the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame in 2023.

For over three decades, Galusha has hosted the radio program, "Pacific Street Blues & Americana," broadcasted on Iowa's radio station, 89.7 The River, showcasing American musical genres from blues to Americana and classic rock.

"Oddly enough, I got married the same year I began my radio program,” said Galusha. “While we celebrate our anniversary every year, now in its 33rd year, I am deeply honored that my passion for sharing music with listeners has been acknowledged in such a profound way.”

Over the years Galusha has found joy in educating listeners about the players and the American musical forms including blues, Americana and good, ole classic rock.
