Bellevue University Recognized by Community College Baccalaureate Association for Innovative 4+1 Program

Bellevue University has been selected by the Community College Baccalaureate Association (CCBA) for its Promising Practice submission, "4+1 Program with Community Colleges Who Offer Bachelor Degrees." 

CCBA supports community colleges in offering career-focused baccalaureate degrees, enabling all citizens to achieve sustainable careers.

This recognition highlights Bellevue University's commitment to expanding educational opportunities and collaboration with community colleges.

The 4+1 Program, initially launched in partnership with Brazosport College in Texas, provides students with a pathway to obtain both a bachelor's degree from Brazosport College and a master's degree or graduate certificate from Bellevue University. This initiative is set to extend to other community colleges.

Bellevue University's experience in online learning and its digital formats made this program possible. By leveraging online education platforms, Bellevue University ensures students receive flexible learning experiences.

The recognition from the CCBA underscores Bellevue University's support for community colleges and their baccalaureate degree programs. This accolade will serve as a model to assist other colleges in developing similar initiatives, promoting broader access to higher education.

The Community College Baccalaureate Association (CCBA) will present the awards at its upcoming national conference, where Bellevue University will be honored for its innovative approach. The conference is scheduled for Austin, Texas, from Feb. 5-7, 2025.
