Bellevue University Seeks Support for Vets This Giving Tuesday
Bellevue University will join other area nonprofits this month and participate in #GivingTuesday, a global generosity movement, on Tuesday, Dec. 3.
This year, contributions made to Bellevue University will go toward long-term support of the University's annual backpack drive to support military Veterans experiencing homelessness. Bellevue joins with the community to fill backpacks with essential items for the Veterans, including hygiene products, single-serving snacks and cold weather items. The backpacks are provided to Veterans at the Siena Francis House and New Visions Homeless Service.

Created in 2012, Giving Tuesday encourages people to do good. It takes place annually, always on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. Locally, Giving Tuesday is led by SHARE Omaha + SHARE Iowa, and this year's giving day is sponsored by Medical Solutions, CQuence Health, Farm Credit Services of America, Kiewit Corporation, Chesterman Coca-Cola and J Skinner Baking.
