Bellevue University Student Kyonna Prioleau Recognized for Excellence at 2024 Blacks in I/O Psychology Conference

Kyonna Prioleau, a military professional and current MIOP (Master of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology) student at Bellevue University, has been named the recipient of the Student Award for Excellence in I/O at the 2024 Blacks in I/O Psychology Inaugural Conference that took place Feb. 22-23 in Atlanta, Georgia.

BIOP, which was established in 2019, works to uplift Black voices and experiences within the I/O psychology industry by providing career development opportunities through networking events, seminars and strategic alliances. 

The two-day conference featured keynote speakers, panel discussion and workshops from a variety of speakers. The theme of this year's conference was Breaking Barriers: Paving New Paths in I/O Psychology and highlighted the 2024 BIOP honorees for their efforts and achievements in advancing the field.

Impactful Organization of the Year - DCI Consulting

Kyonna Prioleau serves in the United States Army as a Behavioral Health Sergeant and Technician, overseeing a team of clinicians to ensure clinical compliance and enhance soldiers' medical readiness. Currently pursuing a Master of Science in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Bellevue University, Kyonna aims to integrate her military leadership experience and mental health expertise into organizational psychology to catalyze positive change.
