Bellevue University to Host Art + Science Event Exploring Sound and Psychology on November 22
Attendees can enjoy engaging music, science, and discussion
Bellevue University’s Art + Science Incubator invites the community to its 3rd Generation: An Exploration of Sound and Psychology, a collaborative event featuring local hip-hop artist and producer Marcey Yates and psychology faculty members JoDee Goracke, Jerome Lewis, and Mike Russell. The event will be held at the Benson Theatre on Friday, Nov. 22, at 6 p.m.
Tickets are $5 and can be purchased in advance through Eventbrite.
This event will explore the intersection of sound and psychology, offering attendees an opportunity to learn how music and the mind connect. Attendees will engage with artists, researchers, and experts who will share insights into this interdisciplinary field, bridging creative expression and scientific inquiry.
The event will include demonstrations, discussions, and presentations that combine elements of both art and science.
“The Art + Science Incubator bridges two worlds often seen as separate—art and science. By bringing them together, we aim to challenge conventional thinking and create new pathways for discovery,” said JoDee Goracke, Art + Science Incubator Co-founder.
About Marcey Yates:
Marcey Yates is a hip-hop recording artist, producer, and audio engineer, as well as the founder of Culxr House, a creative hub in North Omaha. Yates, a Benson High School graduate, studied at the University of Nebraska Omaha and completed his education at The Conservatory School of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe, Arizona.
