Constitution Day Event Details and Activities
Bellevue University students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in the University’s Constitution Day celebration on Wednesday, Sept. 17, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will take place in the Margre H. Durham Student Center, located at 1008 Bruin Blvd., Bellevue, Nebraska.
The celebration will feature the League of Women Voters, offering information on voting rights, voter registration, and civic engagement resources. Attendees can register to vote, update voter information, and access resources on participating in democracy.
Participants can also stop by for snacks, giveaways, and information about the U.S. Constitution and citizenship.
Constitution Day marks the signing of the U.S. Constitution by delegates of the Constitutional Convention on Sept. 17, 1787. The federal observance also recognizes individuals who hold U.S. citizenship.
The event supports Bellevue University's mission to encourage civic participation. All undergraduate students complete the Kirkpatrick Signature Series (KSS), a course series that examines the principles of American government and the responsibilities of citizenship.
