Bellevue University to Offer ESL PK-12 Teaching Endorsement Credential

Courses Start Late Next Month and Can Be Completed in One Year

BELLEVUE, Neb. - Bellevue University is set to offer an ESL (English as a Second Language) Supplemental Teaching Endorsement that can be completed in just one year. The program course work starts on Nov. 29, 2021 and students can finish the course work in the fall of 2022.

According to Program Director Dr. Susan Alford, the 15-credit hour endorsement program is convenient for individuals who already teach but who are looking for a way to earn their ESL endorsement, as well. “We’re offering evening courses on our main campus in Bellevue,” she said. “This flexible schedule makes it possible for someone who’s teaching to continue working in the classroom and earn their ESL Endorsement at the same time.”

The Bellevue University Secondary Teacher Education program prepares students to become certified as teachers for grade levels 7-12. Students may also complete a Supplemental Endorsement, such as ESL (PK-12).. Bellevue University also offers other Supplemental Endorsements in coaching (7-12); information technology ((PK-12); and work-based learning (9-12).
