Bellevue University to Offer Online Preparation Course for Human Resources Professionals Seeking to Advance Careers Through SHRM Professional Certification

BELLEVUE, Nebraska – Bellevue University, one of the nation’s leaders in preparing students for lifelong success with career-relevant knowledge and skills, will offer an online preparation course for two globally-recognized human resource certificates in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the leading global HR professional organization that works to create better workplaces where employers and employees thrive together.

The SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP™) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP™) certificate preparation course will be offered through the College of Continuing and Professional Education starting in February. The synchronous classes will be online every Tuesday and Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. starting Feb. 24 through May 31.

“These certifications reflect what HR practitioners need to know to be leaders in their organizations and in the profession and we’re excited to offer professionals a flexible option at Bellevue University when it comes to continuing their education,” Associate Professor Angela Longe said.

Bellevue University’s SHRM’s Certification Preparation Course will broaden and update participant's knowledge and skills including interactive online sessions with expert instruction and peer discussions. The SHRM’s Certification Preparation Course is based on the SHRM Body of Applied Skills and Knowledge™ (SHRM BASK™) and includes the 2022 SHRM Learning System which provides interactive tools and a roadmap for your studies.

To apply for either the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP, candidates must have a combination of education and professional HR experience. The last day to register for the SHRM Certification Preparation course is Wednesday, Feb. 23.
