Bellevue University to Offer Online Preparation Course for Human Resources Professionals Seeking to Advance Careers Through SHRM Professional Certification
BELLEVUE, Nebraska – Bellevue University, one of the nation’s leaders in preparing students for lifelong success with career-relevant knowledge and skills, will begin to offer an online preparation course this fall for two globally-recognized human resource certificates in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the leading global HR professional organization that works to create better workplaces where employers and employees thrive together.
The SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP™) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP™) certificate preparation courses will be offered through the College of Continuing and Professional Education starting in September. The synchronous classes will be online every Tuesday and Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. starting Sept. 9 through Dec. 16.
“These professional certifications can open doors for professional advancement, serve to harmonize standards with changing expectations and signal to employers advanced professional development,” Dr. Michelle Eppler, Dean of Bellevue University’s College of Continuing and Professional Education, said. “They reflect what HR practitioners need to know to be leaders in their organizations and in the profession and we’re excited to offer professionals a flexible option at Bellevue University when it comes to continuing their education and obtaining these certifications.”
Bellevue University’s course is designed to help professionals learn and retain course material effectively and efficiently by combining the best exam preparation system with expert instruction and peer discussion. The curriculum is based on the SHRM Body of Competency and Knowledge (SHRM BoCK) and is reinforced by the SHRM Learning System.
To apply for either the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP, candidates must have a combination of education and professional HR experience. The last day to register for the course is Friday, Sept.10.
