Bellevue University's Dr. Inhyun Han Recognized for Article on Empowering Individuals in Working-Class Contexts
Bellevue University’s Dr. Inhyun Han, an Assistant Professor in the College of Business, recently published a study on how managers can support individuals in the working-class through growth mindset in the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin.
The study titled, “Managers Can Support Employees in Working-Class Contexts by Promoting Growth Mindsets,” looked into the power of growth mindsets in bridging societal divides and creating a sense of inclusion among individuals in working-class contexts.
Dr. Han highlighted hiring on skills over traditional markers could democratize opportunities and make employment accessible to all.
“The findings show that remedying inequality will require inclusive leaders who believe that intelligence and abilities can be cultivated through hard work, persistence, and resilience,” said Han who holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration. “I hope this research will contribute to continuing conversation about inclusive workplaces and help leaders cultivate a growth mindset to support working-class employees’ sense of being accepted and included.”
