Bellevue University’s Katie Jenkins Invited to Join Board of Directors for Omaha Girls Rock

Katie Jenkins

Omaha Girls Rock has announced that Katie Jenkins, Director, Guild Operations at Bellevue University, will join the non-profit organization’s board of  directors.

Jenkins began volunteering with Omaha Girls Rock in 2018. In the last five years, she has facilitated makeup workshops, coached bands, spoken to campers about self-love and care, and served as the Omaha Girls Rock Volunteer Advocacy Board Co-Chair.

“I’m excited to continue my work with Omaha Girls Rock, said Jenkins. “It not only provides a safe space for girls+, but also encourages youth to flourish by celebrating their individuality and uniqueness through music education. I believe in our mission to embolden girls+ to work against deep-rooted societal forces and to use their voices to advocate for themselves and for others.”

Jenkins joined Bellevue University in 2005 and has served in multiple roles with increasing responsibility over the last 18 years. In her current role, she works closely with the University’s partners at Guild and collaborates with internal stakeholders on goals, initiatives, processes and measurements to ensure the success of the Bellevue University-Guild partnership.
