Bellevue University’s People & Business Leadership Program Earns National Recognition for Leadership Excellence

Caitlin Petty

Bellevue University’s People & Business Leadership (PBLR) Certificate of Completion program has earned a Silver Award from Chief Learning Officer (CLO) magazine, recognizing its contribution to leadership development and workplace readiness.

The PBLR program is a management-focused certificate designed to provide students with leadership skills applicable across industries. By combining application-based learning with theoretical knowledge, the program enables students to apply what they learn to workplace challenges.

Updates to the program have increased student retention and completion rates, showing its success in engaging learners and supporting their goals. These results reflect the program’s focus on delivering education that prepares students for leadership roles.

“Winning the Silver Award from CLO is an honor,” said Dr. Matt Davis, Dean of the College of Engineering, Technology and Management. “It affirms the program’s ability to foster leadership, growth and workplace success and serves as an endorsement for students and employers.”

Bellevue University is committed to improving the PBLR program to align with leadership education needs. This includes continuing its approach with hands-on simulations, real-world projects and leadership strategies. The goal is to prepare graduates to address workplace challenges and contribute as leaders.
