Community Art on Display at Bellevue University Throughout October
Bellevue University will feature a month-long exhibit showcasing the art of the Bellevue Artist Association throughout October.
The exhibit will include artwork created by association members, ranging from beginner to professional.
The display will be open at the Dr. Joyce Noreen Art Gallery inside the Hitchcock Humanities Center, 1040 Bruin Blvd., Bellevue, Nebraska.
An artist reception will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 14, from 6–9 p.m. at the gallery. During the reception, awards will be presented to participating artists, and guests will have the chance to meet the creators, view their work up close, and purchase pieces available for sale.
Admission to both the exhibit and the reception is free and open to the public.
The Bellevue Artist Association was organized in 1974 to promote interest in and appreciation of fine art in Bellevue and the surrounding areas. The association sponsors selling and judged shows each year with awards and monetary prizes. General meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:15 p.m. at the Bellevue Public Library and include speakers and demonstrations.
