Ponce

BELLEVUE, Nebraska – To celebrate Women’s History Month, Bellevue University’s Gina Ponce was selected to be honored by U.S. Rep. Don Bacon during a House of Representatives session held Monday.

Rep. Bacon from Nebraska’s Second District, honored Ponce, an Omaha native, for her positive influence and impact as a leader, volunteer and educator for the past three decades in the Omaha and Bellevue communities and across the state.

“I’m grateful to Congressman Bacon for selecting me to be honored for Women’s History Month,” Ponce, Director of Latino Community Outreach at Bellevue University, said. “It’s important to highlight the contributions women have made throughout history and continue to make today.”
