Gina Ponce to serve on Board of Directors for Nebraska Mediation Association

Gina Ponce, Director of Latino Community Outreach at Bellevue University, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Nebraska Mediation Association.

The Nebraska Mediation Association (NMA) is a nonprofit membership association that provides information on mediation, assists people with finding a mediator, trains people in the mediation process and provides opportunities to mediators for professional development.

Ponce, who is still a certified mediator, sees her role on the NMA as an opportunity to help all voices be heard by advocating, teaching and helping people stay informed.

Gina Ponce, Director of Latino Community Outreach

“My vision is to make sure that the Latino community knows the important work NMA does. I love the work they do and I hope to help increase their visibility in communities where folks may not know about the Nebraska Mediation Association.”

Gina Ponce, Director of Latino Community Outreach

Ponce has been in Omaha for over 30 years serving the Latino community. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Management and Human Resources and a Master of Arts in Communication from Bellevue University. She also serves on the Kids Can and South Omaha Community Council boards. Ponce is the President of Women on a Mission for Change, a nonprofit serving women and girls in the area of leadership for more than a decade.
