Guitars for Vets Invites Public to Country Music Night on March 8

Event to Feature Live Musical Performances and Refreshments

Guitars for Vets Nebraska invites the public to a special Country Music Night event on Friday, March 8, 5-9 p.m. The event will take place at Nebraska Brewing Company, located at 6950 S. 108th St. in La Vista.

Featured performers include Nick Rucker, Heartland Homefront, Lucas Minor and Taylor Ullom. Ullom is Nebraska Chapter Coordinator and National Development Director for Guitars for Vets (GVA), a 501(c)3 non-profit  that supports Veterans struggling with the challenges of Post Traumatic Stress (PTSD) by providing them with free guitars and lessons.

Country Music Night attendees can enjoy food and discounted beverages. The event will also include a Silent Auction featuring a guitar autographed by country music star Wynona Judd.  All proceeds will benefit Guitars for Veterans.

“Country Music Night is an opportunity for our community to come together, raise a glass and honor Veterans in our community for their service and sacrifice,” said Ullom. “It’s so fitting that we’re able to come together through music to support the use of music to enhance Veterans’ lives.”

To date, Guitars for Vets Nebraska have gifted more than 150 new guitars and over 15,000 hours in guitar lessons to those who have endured the wounds of war. All instruments and accessories, as well as lessons, are provided free of charge to Veterans in the program.

Additional sponsors are being sought for the benefit event. For more information, contact ne.omaha@guitarsforvets.org or call 402-201-3617.
