Nebraska Career Scholarships Now Available to Bellevue University Students

Students interested in working in high-demand fields in Nebraska can now be awarded scholarships of up to $10,000 at Bellevue University.

It’s all part of the expansion to in-state private universities of the Nebraska Career Scholarships program that began in 2021. The program is funded through the Nebraska legislature and can cover tuition, fees, required books, room and board and more. Scholarships can be renewed for up to four years when students meet eligibility requirements.

“The Nebraska Career Scholarships represent another way for us to support highly deserving students and help them achieve their career and life goals,” said Dr. Matt Davis, Executive Vice President and Dean of Bellevue University’s College of Engineering, Technology and Management.

“Through degree programs that are offered online and on campus, we can equip Nebraska residents with relevant, in-demand skills,” added Dr. Davis. Students must be residents of Nebraska and must be enrolled in specific heathcare and information technology academic programs to be eligible for a scholarship under the program.

Bellevue University is one of the nation’s leaders in delivering education online and more than 95% of its growing student body learn fully online. A significant portion of Bellevue University’s student body lives and works in Nebraska.

“We know that not everyone has a traditional college education experience,” said Dr. Mary Hawkins, Bellevue University President. “We’re focused on meeting students where they’re at and helping them and Nebraska employers succeed through a prepared, educated and highly skilled workforce.”
