PromiseShip announces new tuition assistance program for employees and family members

PromiseShip is investing in its employees through a new Tuition Assistance program with Bellevue University. Starting this fall, PromiseShip employees are eligible for up to $5,250 in tuition assistance per year when they earn a degree from Bellevue University.

All full-time and part-time PromiseShip employees are eligible along with their immediate family members, who can earn up to $2,500 per year. To qualify, employees must maintain full-time student status throughout their degree program. This tuition reimbursement is good every year, adding up to $21,000 over the course of a four-year bachelor’s degree. There will be no cost to PromiseShip to offer this program to its staff.

“We recognize the importance this program brings to our employees and the agency,” said Viv Ewing, Ph.D., Vice President of Administrative Services at PromiseShip. “As our agency continues to grow, we are always looking for ways to develop our staff. This partnership with Bellevue University enables us to help our staff reach their career goals and improve our agency’s workforce and retention efforts. We are very excited for this new benefit our staff and their family members will have available to them.”

There are more than 50 bachelor’s degrees and 30 master’s degrees available, all offered online. In addition to tuition assistance, team members can take advantage of a generous credit transfer policy that honors associate degrees in full. Students also benefit from a variety of support services, including academic advising, online tutoring, a writing center, and ongoing professional development webinars.

“We’re honored to extend these services to PromiseShip employees and their family members,” said Dr. Mary Hawkins, president of Bellevue University. “PromiseShip understands the value of education, and their success over the years is a direct result of their commitment to their people. I’m excited about the possibilities of this unique partnership and look forward to welcoming PromiseShip’s team members to the innovative course offerings we have here at Bellevue University.”
