Bellevue University, one of the nation’s leaders in preparing students for lifelong success with career-relevant knowledge and skills, has launched a redesigned undergraduate Business Analysis and Management degree that is even more relevant to today’s business challenges.

The Business Analysis and Management bachelor’s degree equips information technology or business professionals to analyze business data “to drive business results,” according to Brian Barney, Lead Faculty Member. Students in the Business Analysis and Management program learn skills in business analysis, process analysis, requirements analysis and project management.

Business analysts are in great demand in information technology, healthcare, manufacturing, finance and many other industries. Barney said one of the factors that sets the Bellevue University program apart is that it is the only bachelor’s degree of its kind to be endorsed by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®).

“In this program, students build on necessary skills and study areas needed for IIBA management certifications,” said Barney. The nine courses in the major provide “depth into the business analysis role – [which is] why it outshines other business analysis and education providers,” he said.

Courses involve hands-on applications, including a group capstone case study project so that students demonstrate what they have learned, and “all courses are led by instructors who have extensive years of real-time experience in this field,” according to Barney.

Students who transfer into Bellevue University with an associate degree (or at least 60 credits from an accredited institution) can earn the Business Analysis and Management degree online or on campus, in an accelerated cohort format. The cohort experience involves registering once for major courses and taking the courses in order, one course at a time, with the same group of peers.
