Supply Chain Expert Details Fast Food Giant's Processes

Cheryl Goff, a global supply chain management expert, will share the inside perspective of exactly how the world’s most recognized fast food restaurant optimizes the movement and storage of its food materials at the Bellevue University College of Business speaker series on Wednesday, Dec. 4, noon to 1 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public. It will take place on the University’s main campus in the Hitchcock Humanities Criss Auditorium, 1040 Bruin Blvd., Bellevue, NE 68005.

Goff, a Division Manager for OSI Oakland, has spent the last 10 years working with the McDonald’s restaurant chain. She specializes in supply chain management of the fully cooked bacon distributed in the United States and Canada, and pork sausage distributed to Japan.

McDonald’s is the world’s largest restaurant chain by revenue, serving more than 69 million customers in 100-plus countries through tens of thousands of individual outlets. Goff’s employer, OSI Group, is the premier supplier of custom value-added food products to the world’s leading food service brands. OSI has more than 65 facilities, 20,000 employees and does business in 17 countries and regions.

Linda Thomas, Professor in the University’s College of Business and coordinator of the series, said attendees will enjoy an interactive session. “Anyone who deals with the flow of goods and services – whether that’s moving bacon around the globe for hungry customers or delivering office supplies to a corporate customer when they’re needed – will benefit from Cheryl’s experience” she said.

Thomas added that the free, public event will also be available to view via livestream at: https://mediastream.bellevue.edu/Mediasite/Play/f82a37a607944f2a96286d857f053bca1d
