BELLEVUE, Nebraska – To help candidates connect with employers, Bellevue University will host a Virtual Career Fair on Thursday, Oct. 22, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will be held online via Handshake – a career fair technology platform that works through mobile devices.

More than 30 employers are expected to participate in the free Virtual Career Fair. Online attendees will learn about job opportunities, internships and professional development opportunities and will have access to employers in a variety of nationwide locations.

According to Terra Beethe, Career Coach at Bellevue University, the event is an excellent opportunity for job seekers to network and make connections with organizations about current and future career openings and internships.

“Bellevue University is committed to helping job seekers connect to employment opportunities in the workforce,” Beethe said. “We’re excited to have over 30 employers in a variety of industry and career fields set to participate in the Virtual Career Fair. Participants won’t have to wait in line because Handshake allows for attendees to pre-schedule one to one or group sessions with employers ahead of the fair or on the day-of.”

The Virtual Career Fair is recommended for all current job seekers and upcoming and recent graduates who are interested in discussing career paths, asking questions, and learning about an industry. Beethe said it is also a great networking opportunity.

The list of participating employers includes: Boys Town, First National Bank of Omaha, Nebraska Game & Parks Commission, Omaha Public Power District, Republic National Distributing Company, Veridian Credit Union, Vodec, Werner Enterprises and more.
