Virtual Career Fair is Opportunity to Connect with Employers Online

Bellevue University Event Open to Students, Alumni

To help job candidates connect with employers, Bellevue University will host a Virtual Career Fair on Thursday, March 25, from noon to 4 p.m. The event will be held online via Handshake – a career fair technology platform that works through mobile devices.

More than 50 employers are expected to participate in the free Virtual Career Fair. Online attendees will learn about job opportunities, internships and professional development opportunities and will have access to employers in a variety of nationwide locations.

According to Terra Beethe, Career Coach at Bellevue University, the event is an excellent opportunity for job seekers to network and make connections with organizations about current and future career openings and internships.

“Bellevue University is committed to helping job seekers connect to employment opportunities in the workforce,” Beethe said. “We’re excited to have over 50 employers in a variety of industry and career fields set to participate in the Virtual Career Fair. Participants won’t have to wait in line because Handshake allows for attendees to pre-schedule one to one or group sessions with employers ahead of the fair or on the day-of.”

The Virtual Career Fair is recommended for all current job seekers and upcoming and recent graduates who are interested in discussing career paths, asking questions, and learning about an industry. Beethe said it is also a great networking opportunity. Participants must register to attend. Participants will need to establish a “career fair schedule” by registering for group or individual virtual sessions with employers.

The list of participating employers includes: Boys Town, Boys and Girls Club of the Midlands, Metropolitan Utilities District, Nebraska Medicine, Veridian Credit Union, Vodec, Werner Enterprises and more. Click here to view the full list of participating employers.
