Workshop Set to Help Local HR and Talent Professionals Prepare for Possible Economic Downturn

What goes up, must come down. And many experts believe that includes the U.S. economy, which is currently experiencing one of the largest expansions in U.S. history.

David Vance, Former Chief Economist and Chief Learning Officer for the Caterpillar corporation, will headline a Bellevue University lunch and learn workshop on Thursday, Aug. 16, noon – 1:30 p.m.. His focus will be on how area human resource, employee education and training, and talent professionals can best prepare their organizations for the economic downturn that many economists believe will occur in the next two to three years.

According to James Nekuda, Vice President, Strategic Partnerships at Bellevue University, Vance’s presentation will provide attendees with “both tactical and strategic steps so learning and development professionals can handle the unavoidable cost pressures that often accompany a recession.” Nekuda added that any professional with responsibility for employee education or training, especially department heads and C-suite leaders, will benefit from attending.
