Program Delivers AI Training Through Applied Learning

Bellevue University now offers an online Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence to support learners who want to build AI skills and apply them in the workplace. The program provides students with a holistic view of the field, including hardware, software, and the data science approaches that make AI a critically important skill in a multitude of professional and research environments. Students complete coursework that builds technical knowledge and supports the development of AI systems across industries such as healthcare, cybersecurity, finance, and engineering.
Curriculum Builds Technical and Practical Skills
Students engage in hands-on projects that use AI tools and frameworks. The curriculum includes courses such as Artificial Intelligence Foundations, Basic Machine Learning, and Engineering an Artificial Intelligence System. Learners study how to apply statistical methods, develop programs, and design AI architectures. The program also includes elective options in deep learning platforms, applied deep learning, and generative AI.
“Students in this program build the skills needed to design and implement artificial intelligence solutions that address business needs,” said Dr. Mary Dobransky, Dean, College of Science and Technology. “The curriculum combines technical knowledge with applied learning so graduates can contribute to organizations that rely on data and automation.”
Capstone Project Focuses on Business Application
In the capstone, students design and develop an AI solution that addresses a real-world problem. The project requires students to apply statistical methods, engineering practices, and ethical considerations. The experience demonstrates their ability to use AI in professional settings. The online format allows students to complete coursework on their schedule while receiving faculty feedback and support services.
